Pearson and the London Knowledge Lab hosted a lively competition looking at artificial intelligence in education last night.
The event was the second in a three-part series organised by the duo looking at AI in education. AI companies/organisations such as DeepMind and the Future of Life Institute have received significant R&D investment over the past year or so.

A total of seven teams battled it out looking at several specific themes such as AI and emotions, languages, continued professional development, and student engagement. Cerebriam was represented on the winning team who came up with the idea of intelligently monitoring, and relaying to the teacher, information about student emotional state and specifically looking for signs of anxiety.
